50/50 and Weekly KP’s

From Wendy:

At this point, I’m not comfortable collecting coins (which I would need to then wash and take into the bank)  and collecting 50/50 will generally entail people collecting closer than the social distancing.  We have put no revenue in the budget for 50/50 as we start with the new protocols.  If the numbers for our health authority continue to be stable and at zero new cases and once the province goes into the next stage of opening and larger groups are okayed, we can look at  50/50 again.

The same situation goes for the collecting of coins for the weekly KP’s. Plus handling the markers to take out and collect.

Ladies Night Info

From Sue Babariz

Good news!  Ladies Night golf is starting next Thursday, June 4th.  Traditionally, we would open the season with a shot gun start but as with so many things, we are doing things differently for now. Each group will book their tee time and if you would like to stay for dinner after your round, the 19th recommends reservations.
A few things to note…

  • Social distancing to be practiced at all times
  • Tee times must be booked ahead by calling the pro shop 250 365 5006
  • Only one person per cart – book carts ahead of time to ensure availability

Please review all the protocols on the website.

For restaurant protocols, please refer to their site where you can make reservations online or by phone 250-365-2582 or 250-809-0108.

We have a few less sponsors this year but given the circumstances, I’m really surprised and impressed with those that continue to support Ladies Night golf. For the evenings that we don’t have a designated sponsor, we will be recognizing those that have supported us in the past.  It has been and continues to be a difficult time for many of these local businesses, so let’s acknowledge them and patronize them when we can.

The weekly game will still be $5, with the option for a $2 Deuce Pot.  Sponsored evenings will continue to feature draw prizes. A couple of changes this season are no KPs or longest putt. We would prefer that one person keeps a scorecard for each group so the pro shop is handling less scorecards. We will try to keep things as close to ‘normal’ as we can, however the situation is constantly changing so expect changes as the season progresses.
